How Do I Access My Web Space?
Answer: You use an FTP client such as CuteFTP or LeechFTP for Windows and Fetch for Macintosh. You can search for these freeware/shareware software titles at download.com.
How often will I be billed/ How will I be billed?
Answer:
You will be billed monthly or annually, which ever one you choose when signing up.
Do I need a credit card?
Answer: No. You can pay with a Checking Account, or PayPal credit.
Will this be a dedicated plan or virtual plan?
Answer: The listed plans are for virtual plans. Meaning you will share a server with other clients. You will have your own private secure directory with FTP and Cpanel access.
Can I add extra bandwidth or disk space to my plan?
Answer: Yes! Please see the "Extra Services" tab for account upgrade prices and details.
Can I upgrade my account to another plan?
Answer: Yes! Simply go to the "Extr Services" tab and select the account upgrade you wish to have.
How can I access my CPanel / Account Control features?
Answer: You will have to go to https://www.yourdomainname.com/cpanel. Then type in your username and password used to access your FTP area and you will be in the Cpanel control interface.
What is your uptime gaurantee?
Answer: Our uptime gaurantee on bandwidth is 99%, however due to unforseen hardware or software failures we can only gaurantee 95%.
Are adult natured websites allowed?
Answer: They are allowed only if all Title 18 Section 2257 records are kept and up to date with federal laws and local authority laws.
Can I hot-link images from my website to other websites?
Answer: Yes! You can hotlink to as many websites as you like! If you are using us as a sig-host feel free to hot link to all the message boards you post on. If you preferr NOT to hot-link and prevent others from hot-linking to you, read this.
Do you provide technical support?
Answer: We provide support in regaurds to your account through a Support Ticket system found above on this page.
We do not support your personal computer hardware or software and we do not gaurantee any expidited non-server or CLAXBOX-account related support questions. We also do not support any web coding or scripting of any kind. Please see Cpanel.net for Cpanel Support.
Will my website be secure?
Answer: Yes, your website will be secured on a Linux server running apache and all the latest updates and patches. SSL and any other secure certificates will be the responsibility of you, the client to purchase or install using Cpanel.
What Operating System will my account be on?
Answer: Your account will rest on a Linux Enterprise server running Apache.
Will you design a website for me?
Answer: Yes! Please see our website design page for more information.
Do you offer web store or e-commerce websties?
Answer: Yes! Using Cpanel you can install your own custom e-commrce scripts or you can see out website design section and we can build an e-commerce website for you!
Do you support cgi/php/mysql any type of scripting?
Answer: Yes! But we do not offer troubleshooting/help with any coding. Any scripting you host on our servers will be solely the responsibilty of you, the client. CLAXBOX does not support or offer helpdesk for any type of scripting or coding what-so-ever.
Do you offer dedicated servers?
Answer: Yes! Please email us with your needs and we can give you a competitive quote.
Who do I contact if I have a problem with my account or server?
Answer: Please use our Support Ticket system above on this page. If you need emergency help please contact us using email at: Support@claxbox.com.
If I cancel my service will I get a refund?
Answer: No. All pre-paid services will remain in effect until the end of your billing cycle. Please notify us 7 days prior to the beginning of your billing cycle to avoid being billed for your next cycle.
How do I cancel my account?
Answer: Simply log into your PayPal Account and you will see your monthly ClaxBox transaction. Click details and unsubscribe and your account will be canceled and removed at the end of your billing cycle.
